Meet Our Staff: The Persóns
Wyatt, Holly, and their four kiddos live here on campus. I’ve enjoyed many conversations with all of them in the dining hall! Wyatt is the director of Building and Grounds Maintenance and Holly is the administrative assistant in that same department. They both enjoy connecting with students and interns here.

Where are you from originally?
Wyatt: I am originally from Fairbanks, Alaska.
Holly: I am originally from McMinnville, Oregon.
When did you join the Ethnos360 Bible Institute team?
May 2020.
What’s your role at Ethnos360 Bible Institute?
Wyatt: I am the director of Buildings and Grounds Maintenance.
Holly: I am an administrative assistant for Building and Grounds Maintenance.
What is your favorite thing about serving at Ethnos360 Bible Institute?
Wyatt: I thoroughly enjoy helping people with anything that needs repair.
Holly: I love getting to work with college students. They are in such an exciting time of life and watching them grow as they study the Bible is the best.
What is something the student body might not know about you?
Wyatt: I enjoy playing electric guitar. I have been playing guitar since I was about ten.
Holly: My parents joined Wycliffe when I was in junior high, and I spent several years overseas in France and Senegal, West Africa.
At what point in your life were you convinced to become involved with missions?
Wyatt: I was convinced to become involved with missions during a Bible college class on the book of Acts. The class was taught by Brad Buser, who spoke on the importance of missions.
Holly: I knew I wanted to be involved in missions in some way in late high school or early college. I felt that God had given me the experience of being an MK for a reason. I had also seen the need for missionaries through living in Senegal. Several teachers at Ecola Bible College confirmed my sense of the need to bring God’s message to unreached people. From there, I ended up at EBI.
Where’s your favorite place to eat or thing to do here around Waukesha?
Wyatt: My favorite place to eat is on the rooftop of Taylor’s People’s Park in downtown Waukesha.
Holly: I love People’s Park too. They have good food and a fun atmosphere. I also enjoy going to the Waukesha Farmers Market, grabbing coffee at Waukesha Cafe House, or walking around Fox River Park as a family.
What pastimes do you enjoy?
Wyatt: I love building chainsaws or any small engine repair. I also love anything to do with axes!
Holly: Knitting and crocheting are some of my favorite “productive” hobbies. Drinking coffee with Wyatt in the morning or going camping with family are two of my other favorite things to do.
Do you have a “hero of the faith” that you admire, and if so, what about them is inspiring?
Wyatt: My grandparents, Bob and Joyce Persón, who trusted the Lord as he led them as missionaries in Alaska then as a pastor in California. They left the legacy of children and grandchildren who all know the Lord.
Holly: I would also have to say Wyatt’s grandma, Joyce. (I didn’t know his grandpa.) She has stayed faithful to the Lord, discipling her kids, grandkids, and great grandkids in spite of the loss of her husband. Her fervent prayer for her family and love of and trust in the Lord are inspiring.
Who is your favorite author or musician?
Wyatt: My favorite author is J.R.R. Tolkien. Hans Zimmer is my favorite composer/musician.
Holly: I don’t have a favorite author, but I enjoy Little Women, Anne of Green Gables, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Right now, the Gettys are my favorite musicians.
Where is your favorite place to spend time?
Wyatt: My favorite place to spend time is on the Delta River in central Alaska. It is in the middle of the Alaska Range and is beautiful in the fall. I have many memories of moose hunting in that area.
Holly: My favorite place to spend time is in Canon Beach, Oregon. It’s where Wyatt and I met, and the coast is spectacular. I love the smell of the pine trees and the salty air. It brings back memories of camping at the beach as a kid and my time in college, getting to know Wyatt and starting life as an adult.
