Meet Our Staff: The Dicks
The Dicks are another sweet family here on staff at Ethnos360. I had fun getting to know their children a little bit on the Student Leadership Camping Trip. Garran disciples the young men on campus through the Deans Department and Hannah often has young ladies over to her house to pour into them.

Where are you from originally?
Garran: I was born and raised at the base of the Rocky Mountains in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Hannah: California (Mojave Desert and San Diego—parents were in the Navy).
When did you join the Ethnos360 Bible Institute team?
We joined the team here at EBI in August of 2022.
What’s your role at Ethnos360 Bible Institute?
Garran: When I first started at EBI, I was in the Maintenance Department for the first two years, and now I have shifted over into being a dean of single men.
Hannah: I’m the Financial Admin for EBI Online and a homeschool mom.
What is your favorite thing about serving at Ethnos360 Bible Institute?
Garran: I love having the opportunity to be used by God to invest in young men who may continue on into future ministry.
Hannah: I loved my time at EBI as a young single lady, so being able to come back after being on the field for a time and pour into the next generation, like what was done for me, is such a blessing.
What is something the student body might not know about you?
Garran: I enjoy Christian metal and rap music seasonally.
Hannah: I used to be a secondary science teacher and really enjoyed it!
At what point in your life were you convinced to become involved with missions?
Garran: I was convinced while I was going through Bible School in 2012. We were on our senior trip to Wayumi. But the Lord had been working on my heart for a lot longer than that.
Hannah: It’s been a slow process. I think God knew I needed slow convincing… I started out as an associate teacher for one of the mission’s MK schools overseas and loved it so much that I came to Bible school to be involved for longer. I caught the “Tribal Bug” that first year.
What’s your favorite place to eat or thing to do here around Waukesha?
Garran: My family and I enjoy breakfast. When we are able to go out to eat, we go to Mimosa’s.
Hannah: I love grabbing coffee and going for a walk around downtown.
What pastimes do you enjoy?
Garran: I like running.
Hannah: I’m a people person, so hanging with friends and talking about Jesus and life is where it’s at for me.
Do you have a “hero of the faith” that you admire, and if so, what about them is inspiring?
Garran: I can’t say that I have a specific person. But I do enjoy those inspirational stories of faith.
Hannah: My grandpa was a rural church pastor. He never had anything flashy going on, but he faithfully loved people sacrificially. He died back in 2011, but I have heard over and over again how people came to Christ because God used him. So cool.
Who is your favorite author or musician?
Garran: I have really enjoyed a lot of books by Paul D. Tripp.
Hannah: I love a good epic adventure story.
Where is your favorite place to spend time?
Garran: Home with my family.
Hannah: Same.
