Meet Our Staff: The Templetons
Andy and Gina Templeton have been on staff here for 11 years. Andy has many roles here, including teaching 3 classes. He’s also very involved in intermural sports – I played on his volleyball team during my first year as a student. Gina runs the school library. She and the library intern have been turning it into a wonderful place to hang out and study!

Where are you from originally?
Andy: MK from Brazil. Born in Brazil and grew up at the school in Vianopolis.
Gina: Waukesha, WI.
When did you join the Ethnos360 Bible Institute team?
2014
What’s your role at Ethnos360 Bible Institute?
Andy: Currently, I am the Accreditation Coordinator. I also teach three classes and serve on the Administrative Team.
Gina: Head Librarian.
What is your favorite thing about serving at Ethnos360 Bible Institute?
Andy: Interaction with students in the classroom, social events, and intermural sports.
Gina: The interaction I get to have with the students and the long-term relationships that build and continue after they graduate from EBI.
What is something the student body might not know about you?
Andy: I enjoy music a lot. I sing, play piano, guitar, a little mandolin, bass, harmonica, and play in a few music teams at our home church.
Gina: Before I went to the Bible School ‘back in the day’, I was in a terrible car accident resulting in a broken neck. The doctors said that I should have died or at least been paralyzed from the neck down. I am a walking miracle!
At what point in your life were you convinced to become involved with missions?
Andy: I visited several tribal locations when I was growing up in Brazil and saw first-hand the need for the gospel. My parents also had numerous chronological Bible studies with Brazilian nationals. Seeing their lives transformed by the truth of the gospel impressed on me the need for us to be engaged in the ministry of reconciliation wherever we live.
Gina: That is something that I knew back when I was a little girl, growing up in a church that strongly believed in missions. However, as I got older, I started to backslide and wanted other things for my future. After the car accident, I knew that God spared my life, and I will gladly serve Him for that second chance He gave me.
Where’s your favorite place to eat or thing to do here around Waukesha?
Andy: Wherever Gina wants to eat is where we eat. I enjoy kayaking the Fox River, Turtle Creek, and the Wisconsin River when I have free time.
Gina: I really enjoy many places, but Mexican is my favorite. There is this little restaurant down the road from the school called El Sol.
What pastimes do you enjoy?
Andy: Wood-working projects, gardening and landscaping, being in nature hiking, kayaking, etc.
Gina: I like being creative and doing hobbies like sewing, crafting, and picking at my flower beds.
Do you have a “hero of the faith” that you admire, and if so, what about them is inspiring?
Andy: Joseph is a great example of resilience and walking in obedience regardless of the consequences. It is good to remember that success in the Christian walk is measured NOT by visible/tangible results but by walking in obedience to God. Sometimes we are blessed to see great results, and sometimes we don’t see any results. Either way, we are good and faithful servants if we walk in obedience.
Gina: I feel like I can identify with Jonah. He started out on the right path, and yet he took a little detour into what he thought was best. Yet God gave him a second chance
Who is your favorite author or musician?
Andy: No favorites, it just depends on the season of life. Fiction authors – Ernest Hemingway and James Michener. Non-fiction authors – Neil Postman and Thomas Sowell. My best recent read was “Rise and Triumph of the Modern Self” by Carl Trueman. Favorite music style would be Indie Folk with an emphasis on creative song writing. Recently, I have been listening to Andrew Peterson, Stuart Townend, and Stephen Wilson Jr.
Gina: It is odd being the librarian, but I really don’t have a favorite author or musician. I just enjoy most books and music I listen to. One thing is that I find my favorite way to spend time with God, outside of reading His Word, is to surround myself with praise music.
Where is your favorite place to spend time?
Andy: Outdoors in nature without interruption from technology or people. Pretty much anyplace with family – Gina, our boys and Alice (our granddaughter).
Gina: I really do enjoying spending time at home, but outside of that, I would have to say the beach in some nice warm/hot sun!
