Our first semester at New Tribes just flew by! We were into our last block of training for the semester before we knew it.  At times, we felt as if we are drinking from a fire hydrant when it comes to biblical truth and missions experience.

Our biblical studies in the Old Testament took us deep into the Pentateuch as well as Joshua, Judges, Samuel, Kings and Chronicles.  Never before had we seen how the history of Israel fits into the big picture of God’s redemption of mankind. We’ve been so blessed to sit under such humble, incredible teachers, to be mentored by seasoned missionaries and to thrive in this community of like-minded missionaries-in-training.

We’ve also discovered that it is so much easier to know about God than to know GodMeanwhile, our marriage has been challenged in so many different areas while here and we have been intentionally seeking to grow closer to each other while we walk through this season of training.  We are learning that the secret to long-lasting service in ministry is a vibrant, personal relationship with God and a thriving marriage that goes far beyond life goals and the mission field.

Please pray for us as we continue on this faith journey towards reaching the unreached with the good news of Jesus!
