Sending the Right Missionaries to the Field

Here at Ethnos360 Bible Institute, we spend two years training and discipling students in the Word and Christian Life. The students we recommend to continue on to Ethnos360 Training Center are the ones who have proven themselves faithful in their studies, character, and finances. Their church has also gotten to know them and approved of them moving forward. The Casey Lindsey Scholarship helps those students cover the cost of missionary training.

Background of the Casey Lindsey Scholarship

The Casey Lindsey Scholarship Fund was set up in memory of Casey Lindsey to bless Ethnos360 graduates who desire to pursue training with Ethnos360. Casey was the oldest son of Ron and Carrie Lindsey who were church planters among the Siawi people of Papua New Guinea.  On the family’s first home assignment, the Lindseys were involved in a tragic car accident.  They were struck head-on by a drunk driver resulting in Casey’s death at the age of 6. Casey’s parents and siblings also suffered serious injuries and one of his brothers was permanently paralyzed.

This scholarship was started at the suggestion of Russ and JoAnn Richard, long-time supporters of Ethnos360 Bible Institute and the Lindsey family.  They were impressed at the strides that Casey made, even at a young age, to learn the Siawi people’s language. The Lindseys say, “Casey was a little boy who loved the Lord and had a heart to share Him with others.”  At a young age, he was an avid Christ follower. When the Lindseys returned to PNG to share the Gospel with the Siawis, the people said, “Because you have returned to us without the bones of Casey, we are convinced whatever you plan to share with us must be very important. Therefore, every person in this tribe will come to the teaching every day!” When the Gospel was presented, 70% of the tribe converted from a past life of cannibalism to Christ. If Casey was with us, I’m certain that he would encourage you to go and do likewise.

Purpose of the Casey Lindsey Scholarship

The Casey Lindsey Memorial Scholarship is established to assist Ethnos360 Bible Institute students and interns who plan to enroll at ETC and who demonstrate a life in line with Ethnos360 Core Values.

You Can Be Part of This

You can join us in sending more workers onto the field and honoring the legacy of Casey Lindsey. By giving to the Casey Lindsey Scholarship Fund, you’re helping students who have proven themselves faithful get to Ethnos360 Training Center. 99% of students who go to the Training Center continue to the mission field, meaning more tribes- like the Siawi people- come to know Christ.
