The purpose of this course is to present an overview of Wisdom Literature in the Old Testament, introducing students to forms of poetic literature, purposes of the books, heartbeat of the writers, predominant themes of the books, and see how each book relates to the person and character of God, the walk of the believer, and evil and suffering in the world. The course will focus on Psalms, Proverbs, Job, Ecclesiastes, and the Song of Solomon.
