This course is a survey of major themes in the Old Testament Prophets. The Prophets are considered in light of their context in Israel’s history. This course concentrates on the concepts of God’s punishment, promised restoration, and how the coming of Messiah relates to these concepts.

Meet your Teacher

Bryan Conard and his wife, Martha, have been married for 7 years and have three children. Presently, they serve as missionaries in Senegal, West Africa with Ethnos360. Before moving to Senegal, Bryan served at Ethnos360 Bible Institute as a Dean of single men and Bible teacher. He has a Bachelors of Intercultural Studies from Ethnos360 and an Associates in Biblical Studies from Grace School of Theology.

Learning Objective Statements

Upon completion of this course, the student will;

  • Identify the major message of each of the books of the Prophets.
  • Summarize the relevance of the various covenants (Abrahamic, Mosaic, and Davidic) to the interpretation of the Prophets.
  • Demonstrate the correlation between a historical-grammatical interpretation of the Prophets and the necessity of the Second Advent of Christ and restoration of Israel.
  • Propose relevant applications of major principles found throughout the Prophets.
