“To equip and to establish believers in the interpretation and application of the fundamental truths of the Bible.”

The quote hangs on the wall of New Tribes Bible Institute, a sentinel that watches the daily life of students here. Coming and going, studying and working, fellowshipping and playing sports, experiencing discipleship and discussing the Word, students of all ages and life experience walk under the presence of those words.

There is purpose here.

From the beginning, those who founded New Tribes Bible Institute had this in mind. Their passion lie in the fact that around the world, many were unreached with the news of the gospel of Jesus Christ. And who would reach them?

It would be the Church, or no one.

It would be believers whose hearts aligned with Jesus’s last words, or no one.

And so, this place was established in order to ready such believers. To “equip and establish them”. To teach them in the truths of the Word, so that they could go and teach others.

New Tribes Bible Institute does not exist to provide a cultural college experience, to prepare one to move up in the corporate world, or to set students up for the attainment of the American dream.

This is a place where Bible and missions are one.

The goal, the very heartbeat of our founding fathers, and the continued mission of the leadership, teachers, and disciplers here today, is to give believers the tools and foundation they will need for ministry by establishing them in what God’s Word says.

Jesus’s last words to believers on earth were these: “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”

We have one mission, one final command, we have the heart of God and His desire for our lives spelled out in this statement.
Are you ready to get ready?
